Born in 1959 in Yokohama, Japan, I graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo, specializing in History of Fine Art. My first steps in the field of Art & Events took place in Tokyo, where I developed my work.
Moved to Paris in 1994, seeking new artistic and cultural perspectives.
Lived in Sydney, Australia, from 2000 to 2003. My stay there enriched my artistic vision, offering me a diverse and inspiring experience.
Coming back to Paris I immersed myself in painting workshops at the Mairie de Paris and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, broadening my knowledge and artistic expression.
In 2018, I had the opportunity to present my first solo exhibition, exploring works inspired by live models, a milestone in my artistic journey. This experience was the starting point for an evolution towards abstraction since then to be able to explore new artistic fields and express my creativity in different ways.
This transition liberated my artistic expression, allowing me to capture my emotions through colour, texture and freedom of form. My journey has been one of constant evolution, shaped by an unwavering passion for art in all its forms. Each step has enriched my creativity, leading me to explore new ways of expressing the very essence of my being through painting.
I draw my inspiration from the elements that make up nature: the sky, the sea, the earth, the foliage of trees, animals, people, but also the objects that surround us. I fix them in my painting as the picture develops. In my paintings, I myself discover the memory of my childhood and that of my stays abroad.
Combining Western and Japanese techniques, I express the spirit of my homeland, where every piece of nature has a soul that makes it a harmonious part of the universe. The painting is alive, with its own idea that it develops as it pleases. With intuition, I accompany the work on its journey without knowing its final destination.
The form changes, the colors are transformed with great freedom, until the harmony of nature gradually takes shape in the painting.
I’d like my paintings to be a source of freshness for the viewer too.
